We aim to provide an enriched and varied curriculum at Margaretting, which can involve various visits or regular attendances at another facility. Where the trip is an essential part of the curriculum, cost will be met by the school to cover instruction or entry fees. However, voluntary contributions are requested to help with the cost of transport.
PGL residential visits are carried out every other year for Year 5/6 pupils. This plays an important part in helping the children develop their social and emotional side as well as learning new and exciting skills in a safe environment. The children can have a go at activities such as climbing, abseiling and canoeing. Every child is given to opportunity to go, and if necessary financial assistance can be arranged.
The PTFA (Parents, Teachers & Friends Association) is dedicated to helping raise money for the school and to give pupils and parents a range of events to look forward to. We meet regularly, once monthly, to look at ideas and plans for the future. We have a range of events including discos, film and popcorn nights and a weekly tuck shop.
